Brother Prentiss C. Spivey began preaching the gospel in 1965. He gave up a very good job in 1972 and went into the ministry full time. From 1979 to 1985, he worked as a recruiter, teacher and coordinator of student activity for International Bible College in Florence Alabama. During this time he continued his full-time ministry of preaching the word.

His academic training includes High School in the state of Florida. He is a 1975 graduate of International Bible College with honors. He attended Harding Graduate School of Religion in Memphis, TN and South Florida Center for Theological studies in Miami, Florida and holds the Doctor of divinity from Faith Grant College in Birmingham Alabama.

His experience includes preaching the word since 1965, six years as a faculty member, thirteen years of directing evangelistic campaigns nationally and internationally and seven missions for Christ into the motherland of West Africa.

His expertise includes church development workshops, evangelistic workshops, stewardship workshops, gospel meetings, marriage counseling, teachers workshops, how to study the Bible workshops and counseling.

Brother Prentiss C. Spivey is married to Carrie Tucker Spivey. They have three sons, who are all members of the Church of Christ and serving in the United States Air Force. Brother and Sister Spivey are the proud grandparents of three lovely granddaughters.
